Jacob’s Learning Ladder Updates

The children and staff at Jacob’s Learning Ladder (JLL) have had a busy spring. We had Ms. Amy Woolf share The Very Hungry Caterpillar story with each classroom. We had parent/teacher conferences and a successful Scholastic Book Fair. The children have been enjoying the nice weather and playing outside a lot, searching for bugs and planting our garden. We even squeezed in a couple of bike days before the rain!

Muffins in the Morning: April 19

We love being the home of Jacob’s Learning Ladder (JLL).  This Grace ministry has supported families in Wichita for over 35 years.

Having young children and getting them to JLL before heading to work can be a lot for parents.

To make the morning a bit less hectic, we serve muffins and coffee as parents bring their children to JLL for the day.

Jacob’s Learning Ladder Summer

JLL has had a very busy summer! In June we had Water Day on the front lawn and participated in Vacation Bible School. In July we celebrated July Fourth with a parade around the building. We also took a Field Trip to Botanica to visit the “Washed Ashore” exhibit and to explore the gardens.

Jacob’s Learning Ladder Renovations

Our Jacob’s Learning Ladder (JLL) directors Emily Stoltz and Nancy Morrow have worked hard to apply for and receive multiple grants in the last 12 months.  These grants have allowed for upgrades to the JLL facilities.

Jacob’s Learning Ladder December Update

Early in November, Jacob’s Learning Ladder children brought non-perishable food items to school to donate to the food bank. Items were collected and sent to HumanKind Ministries through Operation Holiday.

Our Thanksgiving Program looked very different this year. We filmed each class separately singing their songs. Clips were put together in one video and then shared with families through our YouTube page so we could celebrate Thanksgiving with our families safely.
