I am excited about celebrating our diversity as a congregation by bringing all ages together to learn about God’s call to rest.
Kids are busy, parents are busy, and perhaps some of you can echo a phrase my folks are constantly saying, “I don’t know how I ever had time to work now that I’m retired.”
We all have 24 hours in a day, and we tend to need twice that amount of time to accomplish all the things on our “to do” list. Our August Sunday School series is titled Ready, Set, Rest, and we explore together the command to keep the Sabbath and share about what life looks like at every age.
The children’s ministry department at Grace welcomes a new addition to our staff. Colissa Frye is our new director of early childhood education. She spends time with our youngest Christians in the nursery on Sunday morning. Colissa loves to sing and dance, garden, and read. She is currently looking for inspiration to complete a children’s book she’s been working on. If you have children ages 0-5, they will enjoy Colissa’s gifts of peace and creativity. Stop by the nursery and introduce yourself to Colissa and pray for the way God will choose to build up our infant and toddler ministries.
