We are excited to welcome our neighbors, Watermark Books, back to Grace. On Monday, September 9, at 6:30 pm, we host author Sarah Smarsh for the paperback release of her book Heartland: A Memoir of Working Hard and Being Broke in the Richest Country on Earth. Heartland was a finalist for the National Book Award and the Kirkus Prize. Smarsh lives in the Wichita area, and this book is a favorite of Pastor Catherine Neelly Burton’s.
This event is free with no book purchase necessary. All are welcome. In addition to inviting you to attend, we need you to volunteer. We provide cookies and coffee and need hosts to offer treats to guests, as well as volunteers to greet at the doors. We also need a crew to help stack chairs at the end of the event.
