Worship at 9 am is in the Great Room and is led musically by our band.  The style is less formal than the 11 am service.  The 11 am service is in the Sanctuary and is led musically by our choirs. The style is more formal.

Children and Youth

• Children ages 0-2

A nursery is available all morning from 8:50 am – 12:15 pm. From 10 – 10:45 am Colissa Fry leads a Sunday School lesson for these children.

• 3 years old – 1^st Grade

3 years old – 1^st grade meets in room B10 (in the basement) also known as the ‘Foundation Station.’

• 2^nd – 6^th Grades

3^rd, 4^th, and 5^th graders meet in Room 206 (on the 2nd floor), also known as the ‘Excavation Station.’  6^th graders join this class as mentors for the younger students.

• Youth

7-12^th graders meet in the Youth Center (downstairs).

Adults

There are two options for adults to participate in Sunday School in January.

• Bible Study – Meets in the Chapel (on the main floor): This Bible Study for adults studies the sermon text for the day.  This class is taught by members of the congregation and staff.  This is a wonderful opportunity to go deeper in scripture and to get to know fellow disciples.
• Steamers Class – Meets in Room 209: The Steamers Class explores the sermon text of the week.  Steamers is a long running class with both longtime and new members.

January 5          

On this first Sunday of 2020 we celebrate the Lord’s Supper in worship. Catherine Neelly Burton preaches, and we shift our focus to the gospel of Mark.  The scripture for the day is Mark 1:21-45. We begin our January worship series, “Why Church?”

January 12    

Our scripture for the day is Mark 2:1-22.  Catherine Neelly Burton preaches.

January 19       

Catherine Neelly Burton preaches from Mark 4:1-34.

January 26       

This is the final Sunday of our “Why Church?” series.  Catherine Neelly Burton preaches from Mark 5:1-20.

December 1      On this first Sunday of Advent we celebrate the Lord’s Supper at both services.  We celebrate the sacrament of baptism at the 9 am service.  Catherine Neelly Burton preaches from Jeremiah 33:14-18.

December 8      This is the second Sunday of Advent.  Our worship team leads in both services, and the scripture for the day is Isaiah 40:1-11.

December 15    Catherine Neelly Burton preaches on this third Sunday of Advent.  The scripture  for the day comes from Ezra.

December 22    On this final Sunday of Advent, Catherine Neelly Burton preaches from Luke 1.

December 29    We worship at 10 am on this Sunday.  Geoff Snook preaches.

Join us in December for Sunday School! Melissa Buteyn leads us in a study about how hymns help us worship. We’ll learn the stories behind some popular hymns and explore their message for us today. This class meets December 1, 8, and 15.

November 3   

On this Sunday we observe All Saints Day and celebrate the Lord’s Supper. Catherine Neelly Burton preaches from I Kings 18:20-39

November 10 

We dedicate our pledges in worship on this Sunday.  We give thanks for the gifts God shares freely with us and make our promises to share what we receive. Catherine Neelly Burton preaches from Hosea 11.

November 17

Catherine Neelly Burton preaches from Isaiah 5:1-7 and 11:1-5.

November 24

On this last Sunday before the Advent season begins Catherine Neelly Burton  preaches from II Kings 22:1-10 and 23:1-3.
