A Word From Our Interim Pastor – The Rev. Dr. Steven M. Marsh

Over the years of my ministry, I often return to Philippians 1:6. And now, given our Interim Pastor journey, I find great encouragement for each one of us at this time in Grace’s history and ministry. Philippians 1:6 reads, “I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ.” Grace is built on the foundation of Jesus Christ. Our individual lives are built on that foundation as well. The sovereignty, providence, and presence of God are always at work in order for us and subsequent generations at Grace to participate with God in experiencing the completion of God’s work at Grace at the “day of Jesus Christ,” the final consummation, with the formation of the new heavens and earth. What an exciting time for Grace!

Our Interim Pastor Journey focuses on adaptive change. I will introduce the following principles at our next Interim Pastor Journey Town Hall Meeting, Step 2, on Sunday, May 5. Those principles are observations, interpretations, asking questions, and making interventions in measured ways.

Our next Interim Pastor Journey Town Hall Meeting, Step 2, is Sunday, May 5. We have one service in the Sanctuary at 10:00 am, followed by a covered dish lunch with a “Cinco de Mayo” Mexican theme, including dessert, water, iced tea, and coffee.

The question for the focus of our discussion is: How would you describe Grace to someone you wanted to attend with you?

Do attend worship, which includes celebrating our graduates and the “Cinco de Mayo” themed luncheon on Sunday, May 5.

On the journey of Christian discipleship and spiritual formation with you, I remain faithfully yours,

Steve
