From the Pastor’s Desk: February 26

I talk a lot about all of the people who come in and out of Grace each day. The list includes: parents and students at Jacob’s Learning Ladder; volunteers; students coming to see Kirk; outside groups (gamblers anonymous, girl scouts, ALS support, etc); church members coming for study or meetings; community people coming for bus tickets. The list goes on and on.

Interfaith Dialogue: March 1

On Sunday, March 1, at 2 pm, we host the Wichita State Student Association for Interfaith Dialogue for a panel discussion. Pastor Catherine Neelly Burton sits on the panel as well as representatives from the Jewish and Muslim communities. The topic of the panel is, “The Purpose of Worship and Prayers within Each Faith Community.”

What a great time in the life of GRACE!

We have very active ministries for children and youth programs:

  • We are blessed to have a strong Christian Education program.
  • We have a wonderful music ministry.
  • We have many dedicated volunteers reaching out to those in need in our community and around the world.
  • We have a welcoming congregation that opens our doors to a wide range of groups in Wichita.
  • We partner on a regular basis with several neighborhood organizations.

Human Trafficking Awareness

During January, Grace members attended programs put on by the Wichita State Center for Combating Human Trafficking. Carolyn Benefiel and several women attended an event on January 5 and summarized some thoughts for Grace. This is what they said:
