Who is Doing What Now?

    • The Interim Pastor Nominating Committee (IPNC) begins the search for our next Interim Pastor. Members of this team are Tom Bloxham, Anne Burris, Dale Haury, Jocelyn Pafume, and Bob Ross. Please reach out to any of them if you have questions. Look for IPNC updates by clicking on the Pastor Transition button on our mygpc.org main page.
    • The personnel team is responsible for lining up preachers for Sunday Worship.
      • July 9 – Amy Baumgartner
      • July 16 – Larry Cracraft
      • July 23 – Cheryl Hoops
      • July 30 – Youth Mission Sunday
    • The personnel team has arranged for the Rev. Cheryl Hoops to staff five hours a week of pastoral care work.
      • She helps with hospital visits, home visits, communion at home, end-of-life support for members and families, and prayer needs. Please reach out to her at Cheryl@mygpc.org or call the church office.  Her office is located across from Martin’s 111B. She will also continue her work as the JLL Chaplin.
    • The Session continues to lead and be in close contact with the staff, personnel team, transition team, and Interim Pastor Nominating Committee.
    • Teresa Stange oversees the Sunday bulletin, Grace This Week, ENews, and Grace Cares, along with her Office Manager duties. Please email her at info@mygpc.org if you want information added to any of these formats.

Backpack Drive: International Rescue Committee

The 8th Annual Refugee Back-to-School Backpack Giveaway is scheduled for Saturday, July 29. Grace Presbyterian is collecting the following items thru July 24 to contribute to the giveaway:

  • 700 wide-ruled filler paper packages
  • 385 packs of colored pencils
  • 260 packs of Crayola thin markers

Congregational Meeting – July 2

There is a called congregational meeting on July 2, 2023, at the end of the 10:00 am worship service.  The purpose of the meeting is two-fold:

  • To vote on the nomination of Ron Ford to fill a term in the class of 2025 on the Board of Trustees.
  • To vote on the slate for the Interim Pastor Nominating Committee.  Those nominated to serve are Tom Bloxham, Anne Burris, Dale Haury, Jocelyn Pafume, and Bob Ross.
