God’s creatures need our help! The July Yellow Bag collection helps dogs and cats, as we ask you to donate food and treats for our four-legged friends. Many families have pets that are an integral part of their family, and giving up a pet due to a lack of pet food is a painful decision. Please consider donating bags of dog food, cans of cat food, or healthy pet snacks. We will give our collection to the Kansas Humane Society. Thanks for your help in caring for God’s creatures. You can also make a cash donation by designating it for the Yellow Bag, or you can make an online donation to Yellow Bag Ministry through our website.

On behalf of the Men’s Bible Study Group, thank you to everyone for attending and supporting the BBQ fundraiser. Special thanks to Kirk Anderson and Rocky Burris for preparing the smoked brisket and pulled pork. Proceeds from the BBQ luncheon will go toward the purchase of a solar power system for our sister church in Placetas, Cuba.

After this initial fundraiser, we have raised over $2,200 toward our goal of $8,000. You can still make a contribution to the fundraiser on Grace’s website under “Online Giving – Cuba Mission.”

Tricia and her husband George relocated from Southern California to Wichita last year, though Wichita has always held a special place in her heart. Having spent many childhood summers visiting family here, she considers Kansas her second home. Tricia brings with her over a decade of experience in church administration, having served as the business manager of her former church. She holds a degree in Business Administration and a Master’s in Theology from Loyola Marymount University.

For more than 25 years, Tricia and George have been deeply involved in outreach ministry, including serving the unhoused and participating in Prison Ministry. Their shared passion for service continues to shape their lives and faith journey. The Moras are thrilled to become a part of Grace and are looking forward to becoming more involved in the life of the church and the wider community. Tricia is also a proud mama and nana to three grown children and six beloved grandchildren.

Thanks to everyone who helped make our Easter Sunday so special! We thank the arts team, brunch team, everyone who brought food, and those who delivered flowers. Grace Presbyterian Church is blessed to have so many people who give of their time and talents!
