Worship Protocols

On Sunday, March 28, 2021, we move to two Sunday morning worship services. The 9 am service is in the Great Room, and the 11 am service is in the Sanctuary. Sunday School remains at 10 am and is in the following locations:

  • Room 106/Nursery – Infants – 2 years old
  • Room 206/Excavation Station – ages 3 – 6th grade
  • Teen Center (basement) – grades 7th – 12th
  • Fellowship Hall (basement) – Adults

The following guides apply to all Sundays moving forward.

  • You’ll find hand sanitizer and masks at each entry. Wear your own mask if you have one. The expectation is that all wear masks unless prevented from doing so by a medical condition.
  • The coffee bar is closed.
  • We have a place to give offering after the service, but no offering plates or bags are passed in worship.
  • Windows are open to help with air circulation.
  • Ushers seat and dismiss the congregation.
  • The seating is socially distanced so limited by space. We only have 80 people in each space. Once a space is full, all others will be guided to the other worship space to watch the service on the screen.
  • A custodian is on duty to clean surfaces throughout the morning.

We encourage those of you in high-risk categories to remain at home for online worship. Please stay home if you have any symptoms of illness.

Easter Flowers

Each year on Easter Sunday, the worship spaces of our church feature the abundant beauty of Easter flowers, given for God’s glory, and honoring our loved ones. Following worship, the flowers are delivered to members who cannot regularly join us, or who have experienced a loss. You can participate by purchasing an Easter flower for $20.

Call the church office, mail your check marked “Easter Flowers” and let us know in whose memory or honor the flowers are given. The names will be listed in the Easter bulletin.

Palm Sunday: Stations of the Cross

Enter Holy Week with a reflection of the journey of Christ to Calvary.  On Palm Sunday, March 28, from 2-4 pm a guided walk through the stations of the cross is held by Grace Presbyterian leadership.

The journey begins in the east parking lot of the Spiritual Life Center in Bel Aire, Kansas. (7100 East 45th Street North, Bel Aire, Ks).  Nestled in the trees of the beautiful campus of the Spiritual Life Center are statues of the stations of the cross.  Enter the prayer labyrinth and use the guided brochure we have created to walk through Christ’s journey to the cross.

Take your time and go at your own pace.  Each station has two places to sit so do not feel a need to rush.  Take note that you need to wear comfortable shoes as there is a short walk from the parking lot to the labyrinth (approximately 400 meters). Once you enter the labyrinth, the pathway is paved with stone tiles so the ground is slightly uneven, but easy to navigate.  We hope you join us for this outdoor experience.
