  • 10 am Sunday School for All Ages
  • 11 am Worship in the Sanctuary

Worship at 9 am is in the Great Room and is led musically by our band. The style is less formal than the 11 am service.  The 11 am service is in the Sanctuary and is led musically by our choirs. The style is more traditional.

There is no Sunday School on Sunday, October 13.  There is One Worship Service at 11 am in the Great Room.

Children and Youth

  • Children ages 0-2

A nursery is available all morning from 8:50 – 12:15. From 10 – 10:45 Colissa Fry leads a Sunday School lesson for these children.

  • 3 year old – 1st Grade

  • 2nd – 6th Grades

3rd, 4th, and 5th graders meet in Room 206 (on the 2nd floor), also known as the ‘Excavation Station.’  6th graders join this class as mentors for the younger students.

Youth

7-12th graders meet in the Youth Center (downstairs).

Adults

There are two options for adults to participate in Sunday School on October 6 and 3 options beginning October 20.

  • Bible Study – Meets in the Chapel (on the main floor)

This Bible Study for adults studies the sermon text for the day.  This class is taught by members of the congregation and staff.  This is a wonderful opportunity to go deeper in scripture and to get to know fellow disciples.

  • Steamers Class – Meets in Room 209

This fall the Steamers Class explores the sermon text of the week.  Steamers is a long running class with both longtime and new members.

  • Love and Logic – Meets in Room 103

Jennifer Snook and Cindy Dethloff team up to lead another Love and Logic class.  The Love and Logic philosophy can fit any relationship, and the focus of this class is on parenting.  Love and Logic helps parents raise self-confident, motivated children who are ready for the real world.

Morning Worship

Bus Tickets and Morning Worship: October 15

Each month Grace distributes bus tickets to people in our community.  This happens on the 15th of the month, or if the 15th is on a weekend we meet the Friday before. Volunteers and those receiving tickets begin to gather around 6:30 am in the Grace Alcove. Guests are greeted with smiles, coffee, water, and a place to sit. Tickets are distributed at 7:50 am.

We can always use volunteers to help with set-up, clean-up, and ticket distribution.  Want to help?  Contact Kirk Anderson, kirk@mygpc.org or 684-5215.

Visit the Excavation Station!

Here are five reasons to visit the brand new elementary ministry area called…The Excavation Station!  This ministry area was newly refurbished to create a space for our elementary kids to call their own.  But this is also a space for all friends of Grace to see and enjoy.  Below are just a few of our favorite reasons to visit.

  1. There are hidden scripture scrolls all over the room.  Can you find them all?
  2. A suspended Holy Land map wall to help your Christian story make more sense.
  3. Explore a reading nook built by Kim Alexander and Bill Vavra.
  4. A Hot Chocolate and Apple Cider bar!
  5. A chance to meet some incredible kids who are learning how to dig deeper into God’s word.

Big Thanks to Bill Vavra reading nook engineer, Kim & Chris Alexander acquisitions and staging, Reading nook engineer, and Marianne Burch staging.

Children’s Ministry News from Jennifer

The elementary children of Grace Presbyterian Church invite you to come and see their new ministry area…. The Excavation Station!  Please pop in between services on Sunday mornings or ask a staff member to show you around during the week. There are hidden scripture scrolls (try and find them), a map wall, reading nook and hot chocolate bar. The teaching team is excited about the ways in which this new area allows them to dig deeper into God’s word with Grace kids.

Messy Church is October 13 at 4:30 pm. Invite your neighbors and friends to this fun, interactive hands on ministry.  Dinner is served at 5:30 pm. This is our chance as a congregation to make a heart connection with our kids and families who may be new to our church or even new to Christian faith.  Passing on our story means that every believer gets the opportunity to share the ways in which God has rescued them.

Life is Messy, why should our faith be any different?
