Another great resource is the BibleProject.They are starting a new weekly series of scripture reading, videos, reflections, and prayer focusing on Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. This is a one-year focus so that you can dive deep into this teaching of Jesus. Follow this link > They also have a wealth of other studies that you can use, from podcasts to short Bible book introductions to full college-level class discussions. All of their content is crowd-funded, so you pay nothing unless you wish to support them. So, check them out.
We are excited for Laura Daniel as she becomes the Interim Director for Jacob’s Learning Ladder (JLL) after the departure of Emily Stoltz, who moved on to a teaching position with the Catholic school system. Laura has been with JLL for many years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. JLL is searching for a new Director with more information coming soon.
Dear Grace Community,
We are actively looking to fill two positions in children’s ministries. The first is the Director of Children’s Ministry. The job description has been adapted and is for 10-12 hours a week. The second position is new and comes out of work that Jennifer Snook did with Jacob’s Learning Ladder. It is the Jacob’s Learning Ladder (JLL) Chaplain and is five hours a week. Applicants are welcome to apply for both positions.
The Director of Children’s Ministry continues to minister to children and families in our congregation. The JLL Chaplain serves the families of JLL. This is an opportunity to minister to these families and a recognition that, no matter how wonderful our church is, they’re not coming here for our regular Sunday worship and Sunday School. Jennifer helped us see the joy and potential of showing the 80 children and their families the love of Christ, regardless as to their interest in being part of our congregation.
