Just Imagine: Financial Peace University at Grace Presbyterian Church

Imagine having no car payment or house payment.

Imagine having an emergency fund for the unexpected.

Imagine having Christmas paid for before it gets here.

You don’t have to imagine it; plan for it! Financial Peace University (FPU) is that plan! It teaches God’s ways of handling money.

Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. You’ll learn how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more!

Attend Financial Peace University, Dave Ramsey’s 9-week financial seminar. The class meets Wednesdays from 6-7:30 pm, January 18—March 15 in the Parlor. The cost is $93 per family and child care is provided (registration required). Want to register or know more? You can call Martin Burch at 684-5215 or visit the website.

Christmas Eve is Saturday, December 24.  We look forward to this special night.  Christmas Eve is a night of beauty and mystery.  We worship at 5 pm (Great Room) and 8 pm (Sanctuary).  Both services include the Lord’s Supper.  The 8 pm service includes candlelight. Children are always welcome in worship, but if you prefer, a nursery is available at 5 pm and 8 pm.

It’s time for the annual potluck Christmas Brunch.  The brunch is from 10-11 am in the Great Room on Sunday, December 18.  Bring a dish to share.  There is a bulletin board with sign-up sheets at Grace.  Enjoy fellowship and food on this final Sunday of Advent!

It’s time for our monthly Laundry Love! This is when we go to College Town Laundry at 3223 E 17th St, by the WSU Campus, and pay for laundry for people. This is a mission of our evangelism team, and we’d love for you to join us. We’ll be there from 2:30 – 5:30 pm on Sunday, December  11. Want to know more? Contact Catherine Neelly Burton in the church office, 684-5215.

Each month Grace distributes bus tickets to people in our community.  This happens on the 15th of the month, or if the 15th is a weekend we meet the Friday before.  Volunteers and those receiving tickets begin to gather around 7 am in the Grace alcove. Guests are greeted with smiles, coffee, water, and a place to sit. Tickets are distributed at 8 am.

We invite all guests to a brief worship service with communion in the Great Room at 7:30.

We can always use volunteers to help with set-up, clean-up, and ticket distribution. Want to help? Contact Kirk Anderson, kirk@mygpc.org or 684-5215.
