Grace Laundry Love started in February of 2015.  Since then we’ve paid for approximately 1100 loads of laundry for brothers and sisters in Wichita.

At our September Laundry Love we’re not only doing laundry, we’re also eating pizza.  We did this last summer, and guests were appreciative of the extra hospitality.

If you’ve ever wanted to experience Laundry Love, this is the Sunday to stop by and see it in action.  We’ll be at College Town Laundry at 3223 E 17th St, by the WSU Campus on Sunday, September 11, from 2:30-5:30 pm.  We pay for three loads of laundry per person.

This is a mission of our evangelism team, and we’d love for you to join us.

Want to know more?  Contact Catherine Neelly Burton in the church office, 684-5215.

Each month on the first Sunday you’re encouraged to take home a re-usable yellow grocery bag, put some non-perishable items in it, and bring it back the next week, or soon thereafter.  This month our contributions go to the food pantry at Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church.  Consider bringing canned fruit or cereal.

We’re having breakfast on Sunday, September 4, at 10 am in the Great Room.

The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children 11 and under, with a family cap of $20.

Come enjoy food and fellowship with your church.  This is a normal worship Sunday with services at 9 am and 11 am.

We’re bowling!

Join us Sunday, September 18, at the Wichita State University Rhatigan Center for bowling and games.

The cost is $2 a person with a $10 family cap. This cost includes bowling, shoes, popcorn, and soda.

In addition to bowling the pool tables, other games are available. We’ve rented the bowling alley from 4-6 pm.  Come and play, and bring a friend!

Each month Grace distributes bus tickets to people in our community. This happens on the 15th of the month, or if the 15th is a weekend we meet the Friday before. Volunteers and those receiving tickets begin to gather around 7 am in the Grace alcove.

Guests are greeted with smiles, coffee, water, and a place to sit. Tickets are distributed at 8 am, and a brief worship service with communion follows.  Everyone is invited to stay for worship.  The worship service lasts about 15 minutes.

We can always use volunteers to help with set-up, clean-up, and ticket distribution. Want to help? Contact Kirk Anderson, kirk@mygpc.org or 684-5215.
