As our Interim Pastor, I continue to experience deepening relationships with the staff, elders, deacons, trustees, volunteers in the ministries at and of Grace, and everyone who calls Grace Presbyterian Church their church home. For those relationships, I overflow with gratitude.

Wasn’t last Sunday’s single worship service, annual meeting, and luncheon inspiring? The movement of the Holy Spirit was palpable. The interaction between all present was sweet. God is good, and we participated in a unifying experience as Grace moves forward in discovering God’s next steps for us.

Mark your calendar now, and plan to attend the first of six Town Hall meetings on Sunday, March 17, immediately following the 11:00 am worship service in the Great Room. We will enjoy a meal together and discuss the following, “How has Grace’s past shaped who we are today?”

This Sunday, March 3, join us for worship at either 9:00 am in the Great Room or 11:00 am in the Sanctuary. On this Third Sunday in Lent, my sermon is entitled “Is The Bread and The Cup Actually the Body and Blood of Christ?”, the fourth message in the current sermon series, Questions You and the Public Square May Have About Church Traditions and Practices. The Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated.

Over the weeks and months ahead, God will use each one of us to create a united, invigorated, aware (congregationally and individually), and renewed Grace Presbyterian Church as we walk together with Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.

On the journey of Christian discipleship with you, I remain faithfully yours,

Steve

As our Interim Pastor, I am overflowing with gratitude for the staff, elders, deacons, trustees, volunteers in the ministries at and of Grace, and everyone who calls Grace Presbyterian Church their church home.

On Sunday, February 25, there is one worship service at 11:00 am in the Great Room. The Band and Bell Choir lead us in music as we worship our Triune God. My sermon is entitled “Why the Focus on Sin and Repentance?”, the third message in the current sermon series, Questions You and the Public Square May Have About Church Traditions and Practices.

Immediately following worship, we eat lunch together and conduct our Annual Meeting. Do read the Annual Report which is available on our website or drop by the church and pick up a hard copy.

As I complete my fourth week as our Interim Pastor, I am overflowing with gratitude for the staff, elders, deacons, trustees, volunteers in the ministries at and of Grace, and everyone who calls Grace Presbyterian Church their church home and family.

Do I have an opportunity for you! I’d like you to respond to the four self-awareness exercises below.

Your input is essential to our Interim Pastor journey.

Listed below are four self-awareness exercises. Thank you for responding to these exercises no later than Monday, February 19. Your responses can remain anonymous in all exercises except #4, because we would like to personally contact you if you identify an area or areas in which you’d like to be involved. However, if you’d like to write your name in all the exercises, please do. I am the only person who will read and tabulate your responses.

Self-Awareness Exercise #1:

Are you a member, regular attender, homebound, or occasional visitor?

Self-Awareness Exercise #2:

From your perspective, what aspects of Grace’s overall ministry, for example (worship services, children, youth, young adult, adult ministries, pastoral care, and local, national, and international service opportunities), could be even more effective?

Self-Awareness Exercise #3:

What is your vision for Grace and why?

Self-Awareness Exercise #4:

In what ways might you like to be a part of volunteer opportunities at Grace, for example be a member of the (usher, communion preparation, Wednesday Night Meal, 9:00 am Worship, Memorial Service Reception, Office Volunteer, or children, youth, adult) ministry teams, to name a few.

Over the weeks and months ahead, God will use each one of us to create a united, invigorated, and renewed Grace Presbyterian Church as we walk together with Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.

On the journey of Christian discipleship with you, I remain faithfully yours,
