Messy Church

Messy Church: March 8

Messy Church is March 8 at 4:30 pm. Invite your neighbors and friends to this fun, interactive hands on ministry.  This month our meal is a potluck, so bring your favorite dish to share.

This is our chance as a congregation to make a heart connection with our kids and families who may be new to our church or even new to Christian faith.  Passing on our story means that every believer gets the opportunity to share the ways in which God has rescued them.  Life is Messy, why should our faith be any different?

Cuba Connection: May 2020 Trip

The Presbytery of Southern Kansas is going back to Cuba in 2020.  The next trip is planned for May 25-June 1.  The hope is to take six-eight people.

The paperwork process for Cuba travel is laborious, so the participant list must be set soon. If you are interested, contact Pastor Jeremiah Lange from the Marion Presbyterian Church.

Darcy Eads, Pam Head, and Capri Zimmerman from Grace have all been to Cuba with the presbytery and are glad to talk with people. You may get their contact info from the church office. This is an exciting opportunity as our presbytery and congregation consider how God is calling us to partner with Presbyterians in Cuba.

Morning Worship

Bus Tickets and Morning Worship: February 14

Each month Grace distributes bus tickets to people in our community.  This happens on the 15th of the month, or if the 15th is on a weekend we meet the Friday before.  Volunteers and those receiving tickets begin to gather around 6:30 am in the Grace Alcove. We offer a brief worship service at 7:30 am.  Guests are greeted with smiles, coffee, water, and a place to sit. Tickets are distributed at 7:45 am.

We can always use volunteers to help with set-up, clean-up, and ticket distribution.  Want to help?  Contact Kirk Anderson, kirk@mygpc.org or 684-5215.

financial peace

Financial Peace University: Starts March 4

Imagine having no car payment or house payment; imagine having an emergency fund for the unexpected; imagine having vacations paid for before you take them. You don’t have to imagine it; plan for it!

Financial Peace University (FPU) is that plan! It teaches God’s ways of handling money. Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. You’ll learn how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more! Attend Financial Peace University, Dave Ramsey’s 9-week financial seminar.

The class meets Wednesdays from 6:30-8 pm, starting March 4 in the Parlor. The cost is $99 per family and child care is provided (registration required). Want to register or know more? You can call Martin Burch at 684-5215 or go to www.fpu.com/1113560.
