In the gospel of Matthew, Jesus tells us, “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your father in heaven.” This October and November we explore the theme Let It Shine together as a congregation. As a church we are to shine the light of Jesus in the world.
Whether it’s our money, our time, or our talents, everything we have is from God, and how we use these gifts is stewardship. As disciples we are called to use these gifts to let God’s light shine. That’s why the church exists – to shine light in the darkness. We encourage you to give of yourself and your resources, not so we can have a nice building or a staff, but so we can shine light.
