Let It Shine: Grace Season

Let it Shine: Stewardship Season

In the gospel of Matthew, Jesus tells us, “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your father in heaven.” This October and November we explore the theme Let It Shine together as a congregation. As a church we are to shine the light of Jesus in the world.

Whether it’s our money, our time, or our talents, everything we have is from God, and how we use these gifts is stewardship.  As disciples we are called to use these gifts to let God’s light shine. That’s why the church exists – to shine light in the darkness. We encourage you to give of yourself and your resources, not so we can have a nice building or a staff, but so we can shine light.  Join us as we explore this together.

Sunday Morning Discipleship

Faithful Families

Meets in the Great Room

This inter-generational class equips families to pray, read scripture, and worship God together at home.  Whether you’re a family of one or family of six, there’s something for you.

If you’re a parent, your children and youth  attend this class instead of individual classes, and you enjoy the time together.

Bible 101

Meets in Room 101

Do you want to know more about the Bible but don’t know where to start?

All fall we offer a Bible 101 class.  Each small unit (three weeks for the first unit) provides an entrance into scripture.  If you’ve studied the Bible before you’ll enjoy the refresher.

Steamers (An ongoing class where all are welcome)

Meet in Room 208

Bus Tickets and Worship: September 15

Each month Grace distributes bus tickets to people in our community.  This happens on the 15th of the month, or if the 15th is a weekend we meet the Friday before. Volunteers and those receiving tickets begin to gather around 6:30 am in the Grace Alcove. Guests are greeted with smiles, coffee, water, and a place to sit. Tickets are distributed at 7:50 am.

We invite all guests to a brief worship service with communion in the Great Room at 7:35 am.

We can always use volunteers to help with set-up, clean-up, and ticket distribution. Want to help? Contact Kirk Anderson, kirk@mygpc.org or 684-5215.
