Join a 4-Week Group for Prayer and Study

Why do we pray to God?

Because we were created to live with God, who desires the prayers of our hearts. Our hearts long for God, for we need God’s help and guidance every day. – Presbyterian Children’s Catechism

Prayer is part of life as a Christian. Prayer is beautiful. Prayer can be overwhelming and confusing.

You’re invited to join a four-week group to study prayer and pray together. Look for sign-ups at Grace on Sunday or call the church office to sign up, 316-684-5215

Groups begin the week of September 25.

Group Times and Location:

Sundays September 25, October 2, 9, and 16 at 7:00 pm on Zoom

Mondays September 26, October 3, 10, and 17 at 6:30 pm at GPC

Wednesdays September 28, October 5, 12, and 19 at 6:30 pm in Eastborough

oj watson park

Cook-Out and Potluck at OJ Watson Park: Sunday September 11

It’s time for some food, fellowship, and fun. Join the Grace Deacons at OJ Watson Park on Sunday, September 11. We gather in Pavilion #4 at 5:30 pm. Bring a side dish or dessert to share. The church provides protein on the grill (hot dogs, hamburgers, and veggie burgers.)  We eat at 5:45 pm.

Stick around for fellowship in the pavilion or explore the park. Rides (train and pony), boats, paddle-boats, and putt-putt are all available for a fee. There are also paths for walking and playgrounds.

Sunday School august 2022 (002)

Adult Sunday School Open House

An adult Sunday School class meets each Sunday at 10 am in the Grace Parlor. The class is comprised of adults of all ages.  Currently the class is studying the Belhar Confession for six weeks but generally studies the worship scripture for the day.

The class is a good place for people to jump in and gain insight into scripture, ask questions, and get to know a fun and relaxed group of people.

If you’re curious about Sunday School, drop in at the open house on Sunday, September 4, at 10 am in the Parlor. Visit with some of the class members and enjoy refreshments.

yellow bags

Yellow Bags: August

Each month we invite you to participate in ‘yellow bag’ giving. This month our yellow bag donations go to the food pantry at Covenant Presbyterian Church in Wichita.

All non-perishable items are welcome, and these would be particularly helpful: canned fruit, applesauce, tuna, mayonnaise or miracle whip, ranch dressing, and ketchup. Take home a yellow bag when you’re in the building and bring it back with your donations.

Please remember to be aware not to donate open food packages, long out-of-date items, or items that do not have a long shelf life. Thank you to everyone who participates in this much needed mission of Grace.
