Get to Know Grace: August 26

Are you new to Grace?  Have you been here awhile and still have some questions about us?  It’s time to ‘Get to Know Grace.’

Join Pastor Catherine Neelly Burton on Saturday, August 26, at 9 am for conversation about Grace.  Bring your questions and come ready to learn about who we are and what it means for us to follow Jesus as a church.

We gather at 9 am in the Grace Parlor and will be done no later than 10:30 am.

Blessing of the Backpacks: August 20

Join us in worship on August 20 for the Blessing of the Backpacks.  This is a way for our church to offer prayer and blessing for students, teachers, school staff, and families at the start of the school year.  We’ll offer a blessing during both worship services.  In addition, older elementary school students will receive Bibles in worship.

book clubBook Club

Bus Tickets and Morning Worship: August 15

,

Each month Grace distributes bus tickets to people in our community.  This happens on the 15th of the month, or if the 15th is a weekend we meet the Friday before.  Volunteers and those receiving tickets begin to gather around 6:30 am in the Grace Alcove. Guests are greeted with smiles, coffee, water, and a place to sit. Tickets are distributed at 7:50 am.

We invite all guests to a brief worship service with communion in the Great Room at 7:35 am.

We can always use volunteers to help with set-up, clean-up, and ticket distribution.  Want to help?  Contact Kirk Anderson, kirk@mygpc.org or 684-5215.

Sunday Morning Preaching Schedule for August 2017

August 6      

This is the start of our “Faithful Together” worship series.  Catherine Neelly Burton preaches from Deuteronomy 6:1-9. We celebrate the Lord’s Supper at both services.

August 13     

In week two of our “Faithful Together” worship series we look at Matthew 13:1-9. Catherine Neelly Burton preaches.

August 20     

This Sunday is the ‘Blessing of the Backpacks’ in worship. In addition, some of our children receive Bibles in worship.  Catherine Neelly Burton and Jennifer Snook preach together at both services.

August 27       

Catherine Neelly Burton preaches on this final Sunday of our “Faithful Together” worship series.
