What will happen on this retreat?
Join us for an ice cream social on August 13 from 4-5 pm in the Grace Great Room. Do you have an ice cream maker at home? Churn up a batch, and bring it to share. Don’t have a mixer? Bring your favorite store bought flavor, or just come and enjoy what others bring.
The deacons are sponsoring this event and encourage you to join us for fellowship and ice cream. We’re socializing inside because of the heat, and we’ll gather around tables in the Great Room. You are welcome to bring a lawn chair if you want to create the feeling of sitting on the lawn.
It’s Global Leadership Summit time: time to mark your calendars and make reservations for Thursday and Friday, August 10-11, 2017. Join with people across the country to learn and grow as a Christ follower, to be inspired and uplifted, to be challenged to use the gifts God gave you.
Commit now to set aside two days so that God can do powerful things in you and the community during the 2017 Global Leadership Summit, Thursday and Friday, August 10-11, 2017. The Leadership Summit is simulcast again this year downtown at Century II.
We did not make advance reservations this year. If you are interested in attending, please go online to www.willowcreek.com and click on the large blue banner at the top of the page. Follow the instructions and make your own reservations. Contact Martin Burch if you want to travel as a group to the Summit, and we’ll make arrangements. Scholarships are available.

Reform!
2017 is the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. At Grace we spend the month of August exploring the Reformation together. Join the Christian Discipleship team for a Sunday School class for people of all ages at 10 am on Sundays, August 6, 13, 20, and 27.
Together we, learn, play, create, and explore what the Reformation was and is!

Who should attend? The Grace Community – any and all ages – Children and youth must attend with an adult. When is it? September 9-10, 2017. The retreat begins with lunch on Saturday and ends with lunch on Sunday.
Where is it? Camp Horizon near Arkansas City, KS Cost? Price range is from$15 a person (Saturday only) to $65 a person for lodging and meals, with several options between.
What’s the housing like? It varies. There are a few hotel style rooms, bigger rooms with bunk beds, or you may camp. You are also welcome to find a hotel in Arkansas City and commute.
What’s the theme? The retreat theme is “Stop, Seek, Serve,” and together we’ll encounter God through worship, play, scripture, and more.

We worship in person and online. Worship is at 9 am and 11 am. The 9 am service is in the Great Room, and the 11 am service is in the Sanctuary.
