This is the final Sunday of our Kings series. Catherine Neelly Burton preaches at 9 am and 11 am, and we celebrate the Lord’s Supper.  Our text for the day is from II Kings 5.

Even if you don’t know the story, you likely know the expression, ‘a good Samaritan.’  This Sunday we hear this story from Luke 10.  Catherine Neelly Burton preaches.

On this Sunday we look at the story of Mary, Martha, and Jesus from Luke 10. Catherine Neelly Burton preaches.

July 28

This is a one service Sunday with worship at 10 am in the Great Room.  Worship is led by youth and adults who participated in the July Mission Trip to Denver, CO.

9 am Worship in the Great Room | 10 am Education and Fellowship (see below) | 11 am Worship in the Sanctuary

Worship at 9 am is in the Great Room and is led musically by our band. The style is less formal than the 11 am service.  The 11 am service is in the Sanctuary and is led musically by our choirs. The style is more traditional.

There are Sunday School classes for adults on July 7 and 21.  On July 28 we have one worship service at 10 am.

  • July 7 This is the final Sunday of our Kings series.  Dr. Martin Burch teaches an adult class in the Grace parlor.
  • July 21 Kelly McFall teaches an adult class this day. In March Kelly traveled to Rwanda with the Presbyterian Peacemaking program.  He shares about his experiences.

In March 2019 Dr. Kelly McFall traveled to Rwanda with a group from the PCUSA’s Presbyterian Peacemaking Program.  Kelly is a professor at Newman University and a genocide scholar.  This trip integrated Kelly’s faith and scholarship.  Join Kelly on Sunday, July 21, at 10 am for a presentation, “Me who has already been destroyed:” Remembering and Forgetting Genocide in Rwanda,” on his trip. This presentation takes place in the Grace Parlor.

Grab your lawn chairs and pool towels on July 28, and join us at the College Hill Pool.  We gather at 5:45 pm for dinner.  Grace provides burgers and hot dogs; you bring a side to share. The pool is open for swimming from 6:15-8 pm at no charge. The College Hill Pool is at 304 Circle Drive, 67218.  All are welcome; bring a guest!
