Advent Family Night (Pajama Party) is November 13 from 5:30-7 pm in the Great Room.

Families,  grandparents, and friends, get ready for bed early and come in your pj’s to make a special nativity keepsake and hear stories told by our own Erin Lewis.

You don’t want to miss this sweet evening that helps prepare us all for the Advent season.

Trunk or Treat is back, but it looks a little different this year. Our Children’s ministry team has put some serious thought and heart into the events we offer. We want to glorify God and provide a way for our families to be involved in outreach as a family.

This year we are taking Trunk or Treat on the road to the parking lot of ADAMS SCHOOL.  Please sign up to park/decorate your car on Sunday evening, October 30.

We set-up at 4 pm and open our trunks from 5-7pm. Your kids can trunk or treat, bring friends or hand out fun treats, quotes, erasers, play-dough, stickers, or any creative thing you can dream up.  We need at least 15 cars to make this event possible. What a great opportunity to be the light in a neighborhood nearby.

November 8 is election day, and Grace is an election site. We expect a large number of people to be in and out of our building that day.

We need your help.  We know that lines are likely to be long on election day, and we hope to have volunteers here to offer coffee to those standing in line, to point people to the bathrooms, and to welcome people as they enter the building.

Can you help?

Volunteer shift are for one hour, on the half hour, starting at 7:30 am and go until 7:30 pm.  Call the church office, 684-5215, to sign-up.

The Wichita Alternative Gift Market is Saturday, November 12, from 10 am to 4 pm, at East Heights United Methodist Church, 4407 E. Douglas Ave.

Grace was honored to host the market for many years, and now we love supporting it in different ways. Members of our church will staff a project, “Teach for Life,” that trains teachers in global classrooms.

You may help by going to the market and shopping or by volunteering. There is a place to sign up at Grace, or you may call the church office, 684-5215 to do so.  Last year the Wichita Market raised over $30,000. Ten percent of that stayed in Wichita, and the rest was distributed to organizations around the world.
