Laundry Love is Sunday, July 12. We gather at the College Town Laundromat on 17th Street by WSU.

The Grace Evangelism Team received a grant from the presbytery to fund this initiative. Laundry Love is a national grass roots effort. What happens is that each month on the second Sunday from 3-5:30 pm we pay for laundry for people at this particular laundromat. The hope is that we offer a blessing to our sisters and brother who can use a little help and that in time we begin to build relationships. Want to know more? Contact Catherine Neelly Burton, catherine@mygpc.org.

Party TimeGrab your lawn chairs and pool towels, and join us at the College Hill Pool. We’ll gather from 6-8 pm on Sunday July 26 for a cookout and pool party. The church will bring the grill and provide the meat. You’ll bring a side to share, a chair for sitting, and pool gear if you want to swim. Swimming is free. Bring your friends and family!

All are invited to come sing in the choir on July 5. We’ll rehearse easy music at 9 am in the sanctuary and sing for the ONE Worship 10 am service. If you have questions, email Donna Hetrick at donna@mygpc.org.

Each year Crown Heights (the neighborhood the church is in) has a 4th of July Parade, and we participate in the festivities.  The parade begins at 10 am on July 4th, and you should get there a little before to look for others from Grace.

The crowd gathers in the 200 block of N Old Manor Road.

Wear a Grace shirt if you have one. Look for Carolyn Shaw who will be either in a Grace shirt or her traditional American Flag dress.  If you don’t  know Carolyn and want to connect in advance, her email is carolyn.shaw@wichita.edu.

It is a very low key and fun parade. Bikes, wagons and dogs will all be present.

Families mark your calendars for Monda,y July 13. We are carpooling from Grace to the Entz Peach Orchard in Whitewater. We’ll meet at the church at 9 am. The orchard is about 25 minutes away, and the kids can pick as many peaches as you have room to haul. If you do not have young children and would still like to go to the orchard with us all are welcome.
