Laundry Love: April 12

 

 

Laundry Love continues on April 12. On that day from 3-5:30 pm, we are at the College Town Laundry, 3223 E 17th Street North, to share some love with our community. We’ll pay for laundry for everyone who brings clothes during that time. It’s an exciting way for us to be in the community, to get to know new people, to offer a blessing, and to hopefully help make someone’s life a little bit easier. We started this in March and had an incredible time.

Tutoring Celebration: April 14

Join us Tuesday, April 14 at 5 pm for the Tutoring Celebration. This marks the end of another great year of tutoring at Grace. Throughout the school year, students from Hyde Elementary School have walked to Grace in the afternoons to get help with reading. On this day, their families join us as we celebrate the year. Each tutor will present his or her student with a book in honor of their hard work.

Following the celebration everyone is invited to stay for a hot dog supper. All of this takes place in the Grace Great Room.

Family Afternoon at Get Air!

Join us on Sunday, March 29.

All families with children twelve and younger (older siblings welcome with adult supervision) are invited to jump, tumble, and flip on the state of the art trampolines at Get Air in Wichita located at 130 N New York Street.  You receive a discounted price of $5.00 per person.  This is a  great activity for parents to do with their kids. We jump at 2 pm, but arrive early if you have not filled out a waiver form. You may do this ahead of time online at getairwichita.com. Hope to see you there!

Cancelled: Food Trucks on April 8

The Food Trucks scheduled for tonight have been canceled due to the uncertain weather conditions. Look for news later in the spring about our next food truck event.

The Food Trucks are coming back to Grace. Join us for dinner on Wednesday, April 8, from 5:30-7 pm. Three local food trucks will set up in our east parking lot.

You buy dinner, sit at a table either outside or in the Great Room and enjoy your meal and fellowship. This is a fun event that engages our neighborhood, so be on the look-out for people you don’t know and welcome them. Invite a friend to join you for dinner.

9 am           Worship in the Great Room

10 am         Education and Fellowship (see below)

11 am         Worship in the Sanctuary

Worship at 9 am is in the Great Room and is led musically by our band. The style is less formal than the 11 am service. The 11 am service is in the Sanctuary and is led musically by our choirs. The style is more traditional.

Here’s where you will find education and fellowship opportunities at 10 am.

Children

  • Grace Kids Grow meets from 10-10:50 am. An adult must sign each child in and out of Sunday School. A nursery is available all morning from 8:50 – 12:15.
  • Preschool children meet in room B7 (in the basement)
  • Kindergarten – 2nd grade meet in room B10 (in the basement)
  • 3rd grade – 5th grade meet in the Tower Room (on the 2nd floor)

Youth

  • 6-8th graders meet in the Youth Center (downstairs)
  • 9-12th graders meet in the Youth Center (downstairs)

Adults

Chapel Class:

April 12-26: Tom Rhoads teaches the class.

Room 206 (The Windjammers Room):

April 12-26: TBA

Room 209 (The Steamers Room)

April 12-26: Dave or Maggie McIntire lead the Steamers.
